Nevada Dig
We came across another small scale mining operation this trip.
These two miners are digging a little dirt from select areas and then detecting.
Chuck at the controls..
Chuck is carefully removing the overburden off the bedrock.
Then Mark goes in to check it out with his 4500.
What a thrill it must be, being the first to detect a new layer in gold bearing ground!
Mark is doing just that, the bedrock showing around his feet is
where nuggets are usually found.
Even the overburden dirt gets a checkout.
